Patrick Brosnan and Jason Lembke to present on connecting to students through architecture at CEFPI World Congress

[San Antonio, Texas] – Educational planners Patrick Brosnan and Jason Lembke of Legat Architects will present “Beyond planning: Connecting to students through architecture” at the Council of Educational Facility Planners International’s (CEFPI) The World Congress on Educational Environments in San Antonio. The educational session is slated for Monday, September 24, 2012.

Brosnan and Lembke will join Jim Brady, executive director of America’s Schoolhouse Council. The interactive session will offer real-world examples of what planners and districts throughout the country are doing to engage students in the processes and products of architecture. Speakers will discuss an architecture club at an inner-city elementary school, a middle school’s impact on a sustainable curriculum, a school that references ancient cultures and the origins of science and math, a student green committee that impacts capital improvements, and many other examples.
