Position
Legat Architects is currently searching for an Interior Architect/Designer at the Project Architect level with 7-12 years of relevant experience as Interiors Project Architect or Job Captain for our Oak Brook, IL studio.

Our Expectations

- Understand materials, their finishes and appropriate detailing, their benefits and limitations, their cost and availability, their cleaning and maintenance requirements, and their sustainable characteristics.
- Be an experienced advocate for using sustainable materials that is familiar with LEED, WELL Building Standard, and the International Living Future Institute.
- Communicate with the entire architectural and engineering design team to develop designs that are integral and cohesive with the design intent of the architecture.
- Understand budget, accessibility codes, industry standard practices and constructability, and possess the ability to resolve the impacts of these on the design, detailing, and construction of a project.
- Prepare images, drawings, renderings, color and material palettes, and presentation boards using various media to clearly communicate the design intent.
- Actively participate in design, production and coordination of finish plans, specialty reflected ceiling plans, interior elevations, detailing for all finish materials and millwork, as well as specifications for all associated materials, fixtures, furnishings, and equipment through all phases of a project.
- Understand required program adjacencies and be a proficient architectural space planner.
- Understand FFE standards and procedures, and the communication required to coordinate with MEP consultants to have data, power, audio-visual, lighting, and heating and cooling system receptacles and grilles placed for the ultimate convenience and comfort of the end users.
- Assist the project team with construction administration in-office and on-site submittal review and coordination responsibilities.
- Be a proficient Revit user adept with the latest Building Information Modeling and rendering tools utilized during the design exploration and construction documentation processes.
- Be licensed or currently on the licensure track.
