Interior upgrades entice visitors into Adler Planetarium’s Café Galileo’s. The 9,000-square-foot renovation reinforces the Planetarium’s focus on space exploration and technological advancement.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Rectangular and square tables replace circular tables for better grouping.
- Carpet tiles replace broadloom carpet for easier maintenance.
- A new entry sign curves to lead visitors around the corner and toward the food service line. During events, the 80-inch screen embedded in the curve swings out for video or slideshow presentations.
- Custom-designed “space tables” show the reflection nebula in the constellation Scorpius. Table edges reveal that the constellation is 420 light years from Earth.
