Arlington Heights Public Works
Public works expansion/renovation improves productivity, respects neighbors
Facilities approaching 40 years old dotted the L.A. Hanson Public Works campus. Rust and dents covered the metal buildings, all facilities lacked adequate amenities, and equipment was scattered. The whole site had a “temporary” appearance.
Legat created a plan that repaired quality structures, demolished ineffective structures, and linked all structures to create one complete facility totaling 146,200 square feet. A flat-roofed, prairie-style brick building energizes the site and pleases the neighbors.
