Conceptual design proposes a 67,800-square-foot hotel with 101 guestrooms and a street-level restaurant and bar. The customized facade creates a transition between a two- and three-flat residential neighborhood and a commercial area.

Community Connection

Local zoning requires windows and entry points to be positioned consistently along the facade. An indoor/outdoor bar within the restaurant enhances the connection with the street and sidewalk.

Welcome

The hotel entry allows guests to turn off the main street and stop at a covered area to get checked in to their rooms. Valet service can then park cars within the second-floor garage, or guests can choose to loop back to the main street and park in the shared parking garage across the street.

Relax

The private courtyard serves as an informal outdoor gathering space or as an organized meeting place. A pergola creates interest overhead and provides privacy from upper-floor guestrooms.
