Hyatt Place and Hyatt House
Redesign of riverfront hotels saves development costs, brings upscale lodging to Quad Cities mixed-use development
When the initial architect’s design for Hyatt Place and Hyatt House hotels in East Moline proved too costly, the developer turned to Legat’s hospitality experts to “fine-tune it to the marketplace.”
Legat redesigned the concept, changing it from two separate five-story hotel buildings to a single nine-story building that houses both hotels (233 rooms total). The new concept saves the developers $9 million.
- Revised concept reduces hotels’ footprint, gives occupants better views, and creates more prominent structure
- Two distinct hotels bring more options to region, bring operator more efficiency through shared amenities
