Oak Park Lyra Development
Mixed-use concept revitalizes distinctive community
Frank Lloyd Wright and other prominent architects helped shape Oak Park’s distinctive reputation. The village wanted an icon to extend that legacy by attracting more residents, shoppers, and businesses.
A proposed town center named “Lyra” aspires to revitalize the downtown. The transit-oriented solution combines sustainable features with landmark design to create a link between historic Lake Street and the Metra “L” station to the south.
