Geologic Time Scale

This is a representation of geologic time in a scale we can understand. This image provided a context for how we framed the idea of connecting to geologic history and manifested it in artwork. A moraine is a remnant left behind after the passage of a glacier. The majority of glaciers in Glacier National Park will have disappeared by the year 2020. By memorializing the glaciers that covered the Illinois area tens of thousands of years ago, we place value on the remaining glaciers in the United States.
