Nick Woodard
Project Architect
Nick Woodard, AIA, LEED AP spent 25 years practicing at firms in Minnesota’s Twin Cities, then returned home to the Quad Cities, where he joined Legat’s Moline, Illinois studio.
The licensed architect’s portfolio ranges from the design of tables to fit a compact condominium to contributions to a project that transformed a “grand but dilapidated” 100-year-old manufacturing plant into a lifestyle retailer’s 110,000-square-foot corporate campus in Philadelphia. Among Nick’s other projects are schools (both preK-12 and higher education), transit facilities, laboratories, and healthcare facilities including a new hospital in Doha, Qatar.
Nick also helps clients develop facilities that fulfill multiple roles. For example, he worked on a high school storm shelter with a team room, restrooms, and a concessions area that support an adjacent stadium.
A recipient of the Ralph Rapson Traveling Fellowship, Nick has maintained an interest in travel as a form of professional development and as a hobby. He has a master’s degree from Syracuse University and a BA from Iowa State University.
