Zach Nichols
Associate
Zach Nichols creates new spaces or readapts existing ones to improve the relationship between people and the places they inhabit. He creates options to help clients visualize their goals and go beyond their initial vision of a space.
As a member of our Oak Brook, Illinois studio and a DuPage County native, Zach finds fulfillment in responding to the social and environmental issues within the communities that made him. His designs are fueled by his knowledge of the local community and the feedback he gets from its residents.
Zach’s work at Legat ranges from designing library renovations to creating a prototype that transforms a closed-off office into a fun and collaborative space. The latter is a prototype the client plans to roll out in several facilities.
Zach spends his spare time pursuing woodworking, art, digital design, and other activities that sharpen his creative skills. He graduated from Ball State University’s five-year Bachelor of Architecture program with a minor in Social and Environmental Justice.
