Project Rock Island High School
Rock Island, Illinois
Rock Island-Milan School District 41

Rock Island High School

    Interiors Learning PreK-12

Expansion and upgrades create vibrant new look and intensified focus on student safety and amenities at Rock Island High School.

Additions and renovations at Rock Island High School feature three parts:

  • A front addition moves administrative offices from the second floor down to a new secured entry.
  • A back addition doubles the size of the cafeteria and creates three new serving areas for expanded food choices.
  • A new commons space connects the front and back additions. It’s a place for studying, collaborating, or catching up with friends and teachers. The renovated portion of the cafeteria features new ceilings, flooring, finishes, and paint.

School colors energize the new and renovated spaces. A Rocky Red canopy draws attention to the new main entry. A red wall ribbon and wavy red and yellow acoustic ceiling baffles reinforce school spirit and guide occupants through the spaces.

The Rock Island High School expansion serves not only as a much-needed resource for students but also as a continued bridge between our school and our Rock Island community.
