Several years ago, a power outage took down Legat’s entire network. Jorge Rodriguez stepped into action. He moved the firm’s servers. He worked late into the night to make sure employees had access. The result: employee work was uninterrupted during the 18-hour outage.

This story exemplifies Jorge’s dedication to keeping Legat’s technology infrastructure flowing smoothly so clients get timely, accurate projects. Jorge’s technology proficiency leads to clear communications between studios and among project teams, consultants, and clients. He also keeps our computers virus-free.

When Jorge took the helm of Legat’s IT department in 2004, the firm had a single server connecting multiple studios. Since then, he has installed a data center at each studio—files are well-protected and employees work much more efficiently.

Jorge’s other Legat achievements include the following:

• Set up the technology foundation at four new studios
• Worked with architects to develop Revit server, which prevents file corruption and improves interaction between design teams and consultants
• Transitioned firm from local to cloud storage to further protect files

Jorge is a Manhattan native and a U.S. Navy veteran.
