Scot Parker
Principal | Senior Architect
Building owners trust Scot Parker, AIA, LEED AP to improve their facilities in a direct and efficient manner. Examples range from the refinement of design details to addressing issues that come up during construction.
Scot has a deep knowledge of how complex mechanical and structural systems relate to architecture. Since he joined Legat in 1991, he has led some of our largest and most complicated projects. A graduate degree in architecture with an emphasis on structures strengthens his technical know-how.
Scot’s track record with large projects has also given him a knack for coordinating people and balancing schedules. He looks out for clients’ best interests.
Scot’s role at the College of Lake County (CLC) demonstrates his client longevity. In the mid-1990s, he had a pivotal role on the Multiuse and Performing Arts Center. More than 20 years later, Scot served as project manager for the adjacent Science and Engineering addition and renovation project. Recently, he took on the same role for the Student Center at CLC’s Lakeshore Campus in Waukegan, Illinois.
Scot has served as president of his Libertyville, Illinois homeowners’ association. He enjoys family bike rides in the village’s historic downtown and nearby forest preserve. He’s also a major soccer fan.
Scot holds Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Architecture degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
