JJC building featured in College Planning & Management
[Joliet, IL] – The Joliet Junior College (JJC) campus master plan and Facility Services Building, designed by Legat Architects, are featured in the article “It’s Payback Time” in the February 2013 issue of College Planning & Management magazine.
The article cites the projects as examples of achieving sustainability while being fiscally responsible.
The $220 million master plan has resulted a climate action plan, six LEED certified or registered buildings and a campus-wide cultural shift toward sustainability.
When the Facility Services Building earned LEED-NC Gold certification, JJC became the first two-year college to achieve the certification for a building related to campus operations and maintenance.
